Killer choices and the available evidence
For a first Abyssal Escape killer to investigate, The Deity has a clearly attributed starter recommendation from snoop. Fleetway and 2017X have conflicting launch opinions. This page compares those choices; a measured tier list is not available from the sources checked. Pre-release footage and post-release comments are not a controlled test.
Platform snapshot 2026-10-19T09:45:09Z: 79.1 percent positive votes from 8,751 votes. This is a game-wide approval ratio, not a killer-strength metric. The recorded updated date is 2026-10-18; no public patch number was verified.
| Killer | Choice signal | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| The Deity | Starter recommendation | snoop, October 14; opinion, not a win-rate advantage |
| 2017X | Mixed phase feedback | Creator praise and later Beast Form criticism; no measured rank |
| Fleetway | Contested strength | Cinoss praise versus launch reliability complaints |
| Furnace | Resource-management reports | No comparable match sample or verified difficulty grade |
| NMI | Recovery complaints | Player observations; no measured rank |
Survivors and sources
The official description emphasizes custom survivors; it does not establish the complete selection menu. Build principles and abilities cover practical choices, but the checked sources do not support a best-pair leaderboard. No survivor grade is fabricated to make this a dual ranking.
The samples are snoop’s October 14 Deity video, Cinoss’s October 17 Fleetway video, and the October 18–19 launch discussion. This is a small qualitative sample, not a poll or community consensus. Read killers for the full roster and updates for later evidence.
Questions
Who is the best killer?
No comparable match dataset was verified here. snoop recommends The Deity as a starter in an October 14 video. Fleetway has both an overpowered video title and negative player comments; neither establishes a measured best role.
Which survivor build is S tier?
None is assigned. No comparable build win rates were verified. Build principles explain objective travel, recovery and uncertain ability interactions instead of invented letter grades.
